I'm very interested to know if you have any audio or video from the Vietnam shows? My Dad played in a band with Leo Bittner from 1974 to 1979. It would be fun to see any thing you might have? Thank you from a country music lover who also spent many nights with Dad at his shows with Leo! Thanks, Doug Hanson
hello! My name is Billy Douglas from VOTL (Voice of the LORD) Radio...we would love to have some of your Gospel music to share with our listeners. Each week I also host "The Old Gospel Ship" which airs on over 20 stations across the U S ...would love to get you some airplay on that program as well. Please get back with me when you can and let me know how we can get some of your material. God bless you!!
Hi Karen, It has been a long time since I talked with you. I saw you on That Nashville Music today and reminded me to look up your website. Do you happen to have any recordings of the Chart stuff that we did with you? I'd sure like to have a copy of them. Talk at you later. Billy
...just watched and old Pop Goes the Country...you sang Hurt, Muleskinner Blues and......cried like a baby!! ...all three performances were TOP SHELF!!
Hi Karen, discovered you on the Country Family Reunion 2nd Generation. Really enjoyed your stories and hearing you sing. May the real Nashville sound continue. And perhaps one day I'll be in TN when you are performing, who knows? Hope to eventually pick up your records!
I got to see Onie perform when he was doing the USO tour in the Philippines 1969/1970 I think we're kind of kin somewhere along the line Onie acknowledged me as a nephew when he was doing the show at San Miguel PI We had a great visit after the show Your dad made me feel like family I will never forget him
Karen Would you be interested in contributing a quote for my Gene Watson-dedicated, and approved, Gene Watson Fan Site?
Karen -- I just listened to your Listen Spot recording on the internet, then read about your Dad and how he died on your website. I had to write to you. You see, we buried my Dad today and the hurt is tremendous. He was my hero. Karen and I think of you often and miss seeing you down here in the Tampa. I know how close you and your Dad were. I just knew you could relate to how bad it hurts. Thanks for the great memories from your days at the Imperial Room, your concert with Del Reeves many years ago and the shows in Zephyrhills. God bless you, Glen and your family. Your friend, Jeff Smith
Listening to Willies Roadhouse station today, heard them say you were doing a show in Nashville, with others ,maybe this week! Remembered your ,good shows and fun times at Tha Hollow,a few years ago! R.O.Atkinson!
Hello Ms Wheeler, did you ever live in the small town of Sherman, Mo.? My dad, Paul Brake, loved to play bluegrass and country & western. One story I heard was him bringing you to a "jam" session and everyone wondered who was this attractive young lady? Anyway your "Mule Skinner Blues" is the best version.

Hard to believe, but it was 40 years ago this month that I moved my wife and 2 daughters from Minnesota to a new house in Nashville. God smiled on us, because we moved next door to you and your family. You instantly befriended us and became our new Nashville family. We spent many Sundays and holidays at Onie & Jean's. Since you were like a sister, then naturally they were like our second parents. I couldn't help but become a country music fan as I followed your career, and feel privileged to have been there to document much of it with my camera. We shared many laughs and great experiences as well as tough times. You are the kind of friend that will always have a special place in my heart. I'm glad to see that you are still entertaining, and have set up this excellent blog. It is a terrific way for me to keep up with you.
Hey Darlin' Your web site is awesome! Great job on everything. So proud of you! Love, Glen
